Police Hunt man behind the death of Boyzone Member

Police in Spain are searching for a Bulgarian man who was partying with Boyzone singer 

Stephen Gately shortly before his sudden death on the holiday island of Majorca.

The 33-year-old's body was found by his civil partner Andy Cowles in their 

STG1 million ($A1.75 million) apartment in the upmarket resort town of Port d'Anratx on 

Saturday after the pair had enjoyed a night out.

Some British media reports on Monday suggested Gately died after choking on his 

own vomit following an eight-hour drinking binge.

Spanish police say they do not believe the Irish singer's death to be suspicious 

but want to interview a 25-year-old Bulgarian man who was invited to the couple's apartment in the hours before the singer died."We do not think the man is involved in any way in Stephen's death 

but his testimony could prove vital," a Spanish police source told The Times.
